A few days ago I came back from an inspiring workshop with Nancy Stark Smith and Mike Vargas.
The deeper I explore Contact Improvisation more and more interesting layers seem to pop up. I love to stay slow, to spend time investigating a physical perception. Also I enjoy to raise my awareness to be ready and awake to react. Sometimes not being ready might jut be an invitation to slow down and listen and observe. Bringing that into my singing and movement research for Minimal Improvisation it´s great to remember Nancys picture of the flying bird: flap and glide.
Thanks for inspiring dances, a lot of shared listening and observation time and the beautiful studio in Burdag, http://www.burdagstudio.com/
