generative study (for jennie zimmermann) by Gisbert Schürig on

This music was generated by a set in ableton live that I put together. It is a combination of some maxforlive devices, mostly LFOs changing pitches and midi delays plus Robert Henke´s note modulator.
Obviously, this is influenced by the music of Morton Feldman and also it is in context with the collective minimal improvisation process I am working on with Jennie Zimmermann and a group of improvisers.
With this ableton set, I feel I made a breakthrough in achieving the qualities I love in Feldman´s work in a generative way and I am excited to apply these processes to collective improvisation.
