We had a good time at IMPREVU #9, thanks a lot for having us to Elma Riza and Mireia Aragones!
We did a duo set of minimal improvisation, this time combining singing, movement and electronics – as you can see in the pictures above and below by the great Luca S.
Vocally we did a version of our duo minimal improvisation score, making use of gradual variation, playing with possibilities of call and response, echoing, building and destructing rhythmical patterns.
With Ableton live software I sort of mimicked the procedures of our vocal performance, using the Patter device developed by Adam Florin to simulate the interaction between two instances. In combination with my own self-made minimal improvisation-specific devices this offered a lot of freedom for variation.
